Philadelphia:  Paint the Revolution: Mexican Modernism Theres always a ton of choices of things to experience in Philly. But this one will only be around until January 8.  The Paint the Revolution exhibition    tells the story of Mexican political evolution with a  range of images, from masterpieces by Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Frida Kahlo, and Rufino Tamayo to transfixing works by their contemporaries Dr. Atl, María Izquierdo, Roberto Montenegro, Carlos Mérida, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, and many others. Where:  Philadelphia Museum of Art,  Dorrance Special Exhibition Galleries Denver:  Glory of Venice Open until February 12, 2017,  Glory of Venice features about 50 significant works, and provides visitors with a rare opportunity to experience 19 artworks from Venice’s Gallerie dell’Accademia, which houses one of the greatest collections of Venetian Renaissance art in the world. Additional masterworks on view include paintingson loan from the Scuola Grande di San Rocco in Venice, and the Fondazione Magnani Rocca in Parma, Italy, as well as signature paintings in the DAM’s collection. Lurking behind all that glitz and glam are a wide assortment of culturally rich attractions.  But unlike your partying misadventures, this art exhibit isnt staying in Las Vegas.  Available for your pleasure only until February 20, 2017,  and organized in  partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, this exhibition brings  together European and American paintings that showcase how images of urban and  rural life changed in relation to the Industrial Revolution. Featuring works by  van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec and others.
